Masters in Vocal Music at Conservatorio di S.Cecilia in Roma visited our School
In the afternoon of June 4th, Mrs Emanuela Salucci, a world-class vocal music master, and Mr Lorenzo Tozzi , a famous musician of the Italy, made a visit to our school, bringing a high level of professional guidance to the faculty and students of our department of art.
President Yang Jianliang, Mrs Cai Hongyu, director of the international exchange division, and Mrs Gu Hong, from the department of art, received their friendly visit. President Yang introduced the history and characteristics of the school to the guests. Both sides have made a pleasant exchange on the training of the students’ musicianship and the direction of their future development. Both agreed that the two schools can try to communicate and cooperate in the fields of vocal music in the future. Sun Ying, Wang Feng, Li Chenran, Liu Mingru and other teachers from the Music Teaching and Research Group welcomed the masters with singing, and expected to get the professional guidance. As a result, after listening to the teachers, Professor Salucci not only gave a professional comment, but also demonstrated the song personally, making our young teachers very excited. Our teachers' vocal knowledge was also impressive to the guests.
A master meeting in the evening was a rare art feast. More than 200 students and teachers were in the concert hall, participating in this activity. After the brief introduction and interaction of the host, seven students presented Italy traditional repertoire to the professors , like " O del mio amato ben ", " Per la Gloria d’adoravi ", " Batti Batti "and so on. They received the guidance of Professor Salucci's meticulous and serious singing techniques. And Professor Lorenzo accompanied the students with piano all the way. Such a high standard of treatment gained a burst of warm applause from the audience to express their salutation to the artists. At last, Professor Emanuela Salucci of nearly 60 made a perfect interpretation of the Italy canto classic with a song of "Torna a Surriento" , winning the applause and flowers from the audience in the concert hall.
