Making friends with Australian Kindergartens
On March 28th & 29th🐋🧜🏼,Ms Michelle Zhang, director of Monash Vale Early Learning Centre, Ms Nicoletta Moutzouris, director of Bridge Road Early Learning Centre, and some others continued to visit two affiliated lab schools of SECEC, which are Suzhou Flower Kindergarten and Suzhou Education Kindergarten. They severally signed a memorandum of cooperation with Flower and Education, and formed a sister school to open the prelude to international communication between two kindergartens. Mrs. Meng Jin, director of Affiliated Kindergarten Management Center of SECEC, Mrs Cai Hongyu, director of International Exchange Division, Mrs Tian Hong, director of Suzhou Flower Kindergarten, Mrs Yang Jie, director of Suzhou Education Kindergarten respectively received their visits.
During the two days, the kindergarten campus in the springtime attracted Australian preschool colleagues a lot, especially the outdoor game area and the indoor special room activities. The children's practice field games are closely combined with the courses. The guests were very impressed by the environment creation of kindergartens, children's initiative performance, and the curriculum idea of life oriented games. For the first time, teachers and children on both sides tried to lead children to interact through online video. Communicating and singing in Chinese and English through the network across the national boundaries shortens the distance between each other.
It is such a delight to have friends coming from afar! Both Chinese and Australian kindergartens are at the highest level in the areas of their own quality standards for preschool education. By introducing, they have found both sides have common in many teaching ideas and curriculum design, all in conformity with the idea of respect for children and child-focused curriculum, emphasizing on children learning through play and growing through nature. Some teachers and representatives of the Family Committee sat with Australian guests together to talk about the early childhood educational ideas and methods at home and abroad. The parents were very sure of the value of this cooperation project, and have great expectations for the future of the two kindergartens in the exchange of the construction of the curriculum, the teaching of common topic, the interaction of the family and so on.
We look forward to further cooperation between our kindergartens and Australian kindergartens, sharing educational resources and promoting children's development.
