Teachers and Students from GBC Canada Visited our Campus
On the morning of 28th May, our lifeful campus received once again the teachers and students from George Brown College in Canada, led by Professor Mrs. Kimberly Bezaire, and Mr. Nelson Hillier, director of Nelson Mandela Child Care Center, George Brown College Lab School. Mrs. Cai Hongyu, director of International Exchange Division attended the reception and introduced our school history, governance principle, curriculum setup and campus culture to the guests.
After the reception, Director Cai led their way to the whole campus, from the professional classrooms, to the training rooms, and the library, after which they observed a series of art classes including vocal musical class from Ms. Sun Ying and Cheng Yiyan, Mr. Zhao Huan’s calligraphy class, Ms. Liu Jia’s electric piano class, and dancing classes from Ms. Yuan Wei, Gao Feifei and Mr. Zhang Qiang. The guests were deeply impressed by our effort in cultivating students’ art skills and literacy. Mr. Zhao Huan and his students warmly welcomed the observers’ participation and helped them learn how to hold, wield and pause when using the Chinese writing brush. After a short period of practice, they achieved a quite satisfactory outcome and were deeply involved in the beauty of Chinese characters and Chinese civilization.
At lunchtime, the guests from GBC went to the cafeteria to have lunch under the company of our students. After lunch, both parties had a brief exchange with each other, during which our students got a comprehensive understanding of GBC curriculum, major setup, campus life and activities, etc. After the exchange between both parties, understanding has been strengthened and friendship has been deepened, which can be seen in the group photos and in their willingness to have further exchange and interaction.
