Delegation from Japan Visited Our Affiliated Kindergartens
As the Teacher’s Day is coming, Mariko Ukai, vice-principal of social welfare education association, Ikeda, Osaka Prefecture, Japan, came to visit the Flower Kindergarten and Education Kindergarten, two lab schools who are attached to Suzhou Early Childhood Education College (SECEC), under the company of another two principals, Haruko Yamada and Sachie Sasaki. Mrs. Meng Jin, director of SECEC Affiliated Kindergartens Administration Center, and Mrs. Cai Hongyu, director of International Exchange Division, held the reception.
On the conversazione, Director Meng introduced the school history, education principle and features to the foreign friends. Under the instruction and direction of ‘Focus on every child, pay attention to every detail, organize every activity with commitment and enable every child to be happy every day’, leaders and teachers have made great efforts in building up a professional and unique kindergarten curriculum named “Flower Curriculum”, which combines games and daily life knowledge into learning and aims at “let every child shine”. The curriculum has been proved successful and popular.
The delegation visited Carpenters’ Room, Fine Arts Area, Mud Work Area, Orchard Area, Construction Area and Fitness Area in Flower Kindergarten, as well as Audio-Visual Studio, Craftsman Workshop, Science Discovery Room, Carpenters’ Room, Children’s Physical Examination Room and Fitness Room, etc. in Education Kindergarten. The three delegates amiably interacted with children and were surprised to receive many DIY gifts including post cards and cloth art toys from kids. The performance ‘Welcome to Beautiful Suzhou’, which was created and performed by Education Kindergarten, was loved by all the viewers.
While paying a compliment to our expertise and efforts in building the kindergarten curriculum, the Japanese delegation was as well deeply impressed by the children’s enthusiasm, as well as our goal to build the course for and by children. After the visit, the two parties signed a partnership agreement, and shared the hope that with the agreement as a fresh starting point, both parties could enhance communication and friendship. The Japanese delegation also expressed their hope to ‘bring teachers and students to China for further exchange’.
